NYPD Successfully Apprehend Man After He Shot At Multiple Cops

A Bronx resident is in police custody, after conducting an armed robbery and shooting at NYPD officers on November 2nd, 2021.

Official police reports stated, at approximately 9 a.m., dispatch received a call from a deli mart on East 163rd Street, stating a man just robbed them at gunpoint. Within minutes of the robbery, NYPD officers attached to the Bronx subdivision, located the male subject, and attempted to apprehend him.

As shown in the body camera footage, a foot chase ensued. While multiple officers pursued the male suspect, officers became under fire, after the suspect turned a corner and began firing multiple shots. In response, officers returned fire and continued pursuing the man.

Only a few blocks later, the male suspect was located, hiding behind a street parked car. While officers detained the male subject, the weapon was observed under the vehicle, clearly as a last-ditch effort to hide the evidence.

The NYPD said two officers at the scene were taken to the hospital for tinnitus.
