This video shows some of the violent confrontations which took place on Nov 16, 2023. Wang Juntao, chairman of the Democratic Party of China's National Committee, claims that the Democratic contingent was there to protest peacefully, but the pro-Communists attacked. The conflict apparently sparked off when pro-CCP attendees attempted to tear down a banner blaming the Communist party for the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989. Wang, at 65 years of age, claims to have been at Tiananmen. A Good Samaritan who tried to intervene in the conflict was hit in the head with a glass bottle and had to receive staples at a local hospital.
