Hezbollah Claims Responsibility For Rocket Barrages On Kiryat Shmona, Israel

This footage, provided by a Hezbollah media outlet, shows a compilation of rocket barrages and their aftermath in Kiryat Shmona, Israel. The munitions used appear to be a combination of “Katyusha” and “Falaq” rocket systems.

According to multiple sources which include the Times of Israel, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks on Kiryat Shmona which occurred yesterday (05-05-24). This footage was released pursuant to those claims, and shows the rockets being launched and impacting. This is followed by a compilation of footage which is purported to show some of the damage caused by the rocket strikes. These clips of the damage appear to be gleaned from Israeli social media posts.

An estimated 100 rockets were fired, resulting in several damaged buildings and vehicles, including an ambulance. Two people were reported to have sustained minor, shockwave-related injuries, according to the Times. Despite the relatively small amount of damage and few casualties, the use of Israeli media to substantiate their attack nets Hezbollah some easy propaganda points.
