This IDF-provided footage features Sayeret Maglan, often abbreviated Maglan or Unit 212, operating in Khan Yunis, in Southern Gaza. In addition to fighting, we also see the unit conducting a search of a house or building, where they find a helmet and plate carrier, and what appears to be a tunnel entrance. Of the Sayeret (recon) units, Maglan is fairly new, having only been declassified in 2006. Maglan was heavily involved in the initial response to the October 7 attacks, and lost 14 soldiers in that response.
