The bodyguard of Chile's Undersecretary of Crime Prevention thwarted an assassination attempt on the government official by returning fire on the hitmen and seriously wounding one.

CCTV security camera footage shows multiple criminal vehicles rapidly rolling up on the undersecretary's car and boxing it in. The would-be assassins then opened fire on the vehicle, which was fortunately armored.

Immediately following the volley of fire, the bodyguard steps out of the vehicle and engages the suspects with her handgun. The second video clip shows a badly wounded criminal lying in the street as the hit vehicles scatter.

Local news reports claim this female bodyguard has thwarted similar hit attempts in the past.
