Dozens of Syrian Soldiers Survive Impossible Retreat

Published May 11, 2021

Dozens of Syrian Soldiers line themselves up in enfilade fire and run directly through an enemy shooting gallery. Not a single one of them appears to be seriously wounded.

This video is evidence as to why wars in the Middle East last as long as they do. Keep in mind, the video you are watching is taken from the rebel perspective. They are probably within 100 meters of their retreating enemy, and actively trying to kill them as said enemy retreats like perfect ducks in a row, and it doesn't appear as if a single one of the retreating Syrian Soldiers were seriously wounded.

While I'm sure some of those guys caught grazing wounds, or may have even been outright shot, this is a perfect example of how not to conduct the exploitation phase of combat against a retreating enemy. The purpose of the exploitation phase of a retreat is to eliminate as much of the enemy as possible in order to weaken any possible counter-attacks they may try and muster.

These Syrian Rebels barely managed to hit the dirt berm in front of these guys.
