This footage has been privately recorded and released by an IDF soldier, who was evidently viewing footage from an Israeli APC's recording system. This distinction is important because official Israeli military media releases tend not to show KIAs, stemming from a policy that does not wish to glorify violence. However, that is not the case here, and viewer discretion is advised.

The Hamas suicide bomber is already being lit up by machine gun fire before the camera even spots him as he tries to run an IED in for the touchdown. The bomb is briefly seen in his right hand. But he doesn't get his "Uruk-hai with the torch at Helm's Deep" moment because he's cut down in a hail of fire. The bomb lies slightly to stage right as he rolls stage left before the kill is confirmed.

This is the part where I would normally go into the humanity of what's going on here. I have some grudging respect for someone given a certain-death task, with a large percentage chance of that death being in horrible failure, who takes that task on anyway. If this guy were a Russian, with no options but the Hail Mary, or a regular Palestinian, fighting for a home, I might explore that sentiment. But this dude is from Hamas, the group that began this war by unleashing unspeakable horrors upon Israeli civilians, and then exposed their own people to Israel's retaliation. Thousands, possibly millions of lives would be safer and better off if every Hamas member made themselves this easy to kill.
