Footage recorded by an Iraqi Special Operations team last night shows a unit moving into the Islah District Northeast of Nasiriyah in an attempt to quell tribal in-fighting there. Over 75 people were arrested last night and an Iraqi intelligence officer was killed in the wake of a deadly tribal dispute that has escalated tensions in the region.

According to local reports, an indefinite curfew has been put in place throughout the region in an attempt to maintain law and order. Recently, there has been a stark increase in Tribal violence that has challenged the authority of legal institutions across all of Iraq.
