Taliban Choose to Keep Fighting in Sandals in Panjshir

The Taliban may have acquired billions of dollars in U.S. and Coalition warfighting equipment, but that isn't stopping them from rolling into Panjshir wearing flip flops to get busted up by the new Northern Alliance.

This video shows members of the Taliban lobbing anti-personnel rocket propelled grenades into believed Northern Alliance positions in the Paryan district of Panjshir. While the Taliban have north of 80 billion dollars in equipment that was left behind by the Biden administration, it does not appear that they currently have the logistical capability to move any of that equipment to their fighters that are facing off against former Afghan Commandos and the Northern Alliance in Panjshir.

That, or the Taliban leadership is selling off that equipment at the cyclic rate to nations like Iran or in the instance of some of the night vision capabilities, to China, in order to line their pockets so they can live an extravagant lifestyle in Kabul while their fighters continue to throw themselves at the better trained and lead Afghan Commandos and Northern Alliance fighters in Panjshir. Of course, the Taliban fighters on the ground can't read this, so they're not mad. They probably just don't know that their organization has acquired several billion dollars worth of new and highly advanced equipment.

Of course, I could be completely wrong. Maybe the Taliban just really like fighting in sandals with rifles their fathers used to repel the Russians in the 80s.
