This footage, provided by the Ukrainian military, shows an on-board camera view of two Mi-24 helicopters attacking Russian positions in order to slow their advance on Avdiivka in Februrary 2024.

The Mi-24 (NATO Designator: HIND) is an iconic and instantly recognizable attack and transport helicopter, first formally used by the Soviet Union in 1972. Having proven to be a capable, durable "flying tank," it has since proliferated among a veritable A to Z of user nations. Today, it is used by both sides in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. Russian and Ukranian forces both use the pitch-up technique shown here, wherein the pilots nose up while firing rockets to increase their range.
