A Russian BMP-3 is destroyed while attacking at Ukrainian position. The IFV is seen firing as it advanced on the Ukrainian trench, and the steady fire from the 30mm cannon is quite impressive. There is another vehicle near the BMP, but it is difficult to determine type or status, and the attack lacks any fire support. As the BMP nears the Ukrainian position, it erupts in flame, cause unknown.

The BMP-3 is a formidable vehicle, boasting a 100mm main gun with a coaxial 30mm autocannon and 7.62mm machine gun, as well as the ability to fire ATGMs. As a young lieutenant studying armor identification, the BMP-3 was an apex predator which, on paper, was more than a match for our own vehicles. Despite its capabilities, the BMP-3 has not distinguished itself in this conflict, though I suspect that is due to how Russian commanders have employed the vehicle rather than any shortcomings of the vehicle itself. Launching attacks with two or three vehicles at a time, and without indirect fire or infantry support, is a great way to destroy an army through piecemeal commitment of resources.
