Footage from HPG militants of the Kurdish PKK separatist group shows a successful raid on a Turkish military outpost in northern Iraq in which multiple weapons and equipment were captured.

It appears the Kurds used the dense fog to their advantage to infiltrate undetected into close proximity of the Turkish base. It looks as if the Kurds are also in control of thermal optics, which have the ability to see, better than the naked eye, through the fog, allowing them to accurately engage their enemy while remaining hidden.
