Brutal video recorded by a drone captures a moment of heroism where two Ukrainian Soldiers fight until their very last breath. This footage is graphic, it may be unsuitable for some viewers.

Heroism like this isn't seen often, and when it is seen it usually isn't captured on camera. What you're looking at is two unknown Ukrainian Soldiers conducting their last stand against Russian forces near Lisichansk. From the onset of the video, it appears one of the two is already injured as he's low crawling behind micro-terrain. His battle-buddy stays with him throughout the duration of this short clip and continues to provide suppressing fire as they try to maneuver through a hell-storm of Russian fire.

When the first Ukrainian Soldier stops crawling after taking a round to the head, the one who was providing fire doesn't hesitate. He immediately maneuvers to his buddy's side after attempting to return fire and starts to conduct a buddy-drag to get him off of the X. Unfortunately, combat is not like the movies. In spite of the heroism of the Ukrainian trying to rescue his buddy, a round eventually finds him and brings him down as well. In his dying moments, the second Ukrainian Soldier to go down pulls the pin on a smoke grenade, which unfortunately catches his uniform on fire.

In the last few frames of the video, the first Ukrainian Soldier to go down can be seen moving his leg. It's unclear if he managed to survive this event, but the outlook is not good based on their location and proximity to their Russian adversaries.
