Witness video captures Iranian air defense systems engaging Israeli attack drones in the vicinity of Isfahan, in central Iran in the early morning hours of April 19, 2024. Isfahan is home to a major Iranian military airfield as well as host to a civilian nuclear site.

Iranian officials are claiming to have successfully shot down three drones, and there doesn't appear to be any reports of successful strikes on any facilities. Israel carried out the drone attack in response to a massive Iranian missile attack against Israel. That Iranian missile attack was in response to an Israeli strike on an Iranian consulate building in Syria. The tit-for-tat has been going back and forth for many years, so we'll stop there.
