IDF 'Maglan' Recon Unit Operating in Urban Gaza

This IDF-provided footage shows the Maglan commando brigade's day and night activities in Gaza. The Maglan brigade is officially a "Sayeret" (reconnaissance) unit, but it performs a blend of special operations activities and is considered one of the most demanding units in the IDF, with an 18 month training pipeline and 2/3 washout rate. In a recurring tactic in this video, the soldiers fire into spaces before occupying them, blending CQB with recon-by-fire.

That is, with the exception of a soldier with a recoilless rifle at 0:53 who has elected to forego room clearing by removing the rooms.
