According to the source, the GPS of the troops had malfunctioned during the patrol causing the Russian troops to patrol half a kilometer behind Ukrainian lines where they took contact. During their fighting retreat with Ukrainian forces, one Russian soldier trigged an anti-personnel mine, injuring him.
