GoPro footage taken from the Soldier an Israeli Soldier captures a brief gunfight that occurred during a late night raid that kicked off what is being called a massive military operation by the Israeli Defense Force involving hundreds of Soldiers and no set timeline for concluding.

Earlier, we blogged this video showing Palestinians throwing rocks and improvised explosives at an Israeli Defense Force convoy while using a civilian hospital as cover. As it turns out, the convoy was part of the large-scale operation being carried out by IDF forces to capture and kill terrorist leaders that are inside of Jenin.

This video above was the raid that kicked off the operation. According to early reports, at least 8 armed Palestinian gunmen were killed, and there are reports of up to 80 casualties, however exact numbers are unknown at this time.

This is largest military operation in Jenin since 2002, during the second Palestinian intifada, which saw Israel launching a full-scale incursion into Jenin. That battle ended with 52 Palestinian militants and civilians and 23 Israeli soldiers being killed over ten days of intense fighting.
