This footage purportedly shows the effects of a Hamas rocket which failed shortly after launch, falling short and striking a housing block. The original post claims that over 200 Palestinians were wounded and a dozen killed. This is not the first such instance of faulty Hamas weapons killing Palestinians. Last week ordnance struck the parking lot of a hospital where Palestinian civilians had sought refuge, causing a mass-casualty incident. Hamas, with the aid of premature reporting by some major media outlets, attempt to shape the narrative by claiming that the event was the result of an Israeli air strike, but evidence indicates that a Hamas rocket broke apart in flight and fell on the hospital. This is not uncommon as Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) use weapons of low quality, many homemade. These groups are more than happy to blame the casualties caused by these faulty weapons on their enemies.
