Footage from the bridge of a Filipino Parola-class MRRV of the Philippine Coast Guard captures the moment a vessel from the Chinese Coast Guard attempts to interdict the course of the PCG ship. This action, had the PCG ship not reacted in time, could have severely damaged both ships and caused a massive international incident.

This video was recorded on August 5, 2023. The PCG vessels were en-route to resupply Philippine outposts in the West Philippine Sea which China recognizes as the South China Sea. It's worth noting that China is the only nation in the region that recognizes their ownership of that specific area.
