A volunteer with Peshmerga forces outside of Mosul laughs and records as an Islamic State suicide bomber loses control of his vehicle and prematurely detonates.

Imagine being the Islamic State fighter who is such a screw-up that you get voluntold to drive a bomb into the enemy at your gates. Then, imagine screwing that up so badly that you lose control of your vehicle and prematurely detonate yourself several hundred meters before you get to your target, managing to only kill yourself while the enemy laughs at you the entire time.

That's basically what happened in this video.

What you're looking at is a Western Volunteer with Peshmerga forces on the movement-to-contact assault into Mosul. This operation was the precursor to the now famous Battle for Mosul where the Kurdish YPG, Iraqi Federal Police, Iraqi Army, and PMU groups moved in tandem to a position that would allow them to get into the city of Mosul.

On the road up, Peshmerga forces at the spearhead of the movement were exposed to near constant SVBIED attacks, and this footage is just one of the many failed attempts to hit Kurdish forces that was recorded during the operation.
