Video Surfaces of Toddler and Infant Waiting In Sewage Prior To Kabul Blast

Video has surfaced showing what the waiting line for desperate Afghans looked like prior to the blast that killed well over 100 people at the Kabul airport. This video was posted on Telegram shortly before the blast and it has yet to be confirmed if the blast occurred at this specific time and location along the ditch, but shows what the conditions were like for families.

The ditch these parents chose to bring their children into was full of sewage water, and many of those waiting would soon be killed by an ISIS suicide bomber that likely made his way through a Taliban checkpoint that our leadership put their trust in. For many, including myself, it is beyond belief that our leadership put the lives of our troops and our Afghan civilian allies entirely in the hands of our direct enemy.

CENTCOM commander Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie said, “We believe it is their (IS-KP) desire to continue those attacks and we expect those attacks to continue, and we’re doing everything we can to be prepared for those attacks ... And that includes reaching out to the Taliban, who are actually providing the outer security cordon around the airfield, to make sure they know what we expect them to do to protect us, and we will continue to coordinate with them as, as they go forward.”
