Video Shows Ex Green Beret Mercenaries Being Captured In Venezuela

Bystander video has surfaced showing the moment two ex Green Beret PMCs were captured by Venezuelan forces following a poorly organized coup attempt by an American-owned private military company.

The American former special forces soldiers were identified as Luke Denman, 34, and Airan Berry, 41, and can be seen being rounded up at gunpoint and restrained face down alongside their mercenary counterparts.

The botched incursion was executed by Silvercorp USA, which is owned by former Green Beret Jordan Goudreau. Denman, Berry, and Goudreau all served together in the US Army's 10th Special Forces Group.

The incursion itself seems like it was intentionally planned to fail. The perpetrators announced their brazen daylight coup attempt while it was ongoing via social media and tagged President Trump. Days before the arrests were made, independent articles were published that highlighted the private military firm's intentions.

The debacle is likely to give a black eye to actual US-sanctioned activities in the region. Contested Venezuelan President Maduro claimed the raid was the responsibility of the US government.

Silvercorp USA's actuall intentions likely hinged around a supposed unconfirmed $200 million contract from the US-backed opposition Venezuelan government as well as a $15 million bounty on Maduro's head.
