US Troops Battle Iraqi Army In Massive Sandstorm

Historical combat footage from the US invasion of Iraq shows US troops fighting against the Iraqi Army during a hellacious three-day sandstorm.

On March 25, 2003 a low-pressure cyclonic storm swept into Iraq, bringing with it sand and dust from the deserts of Saudi Arabia and Egypt in the form of 50mph+ wind gusts. The "dust bowl" severely, negatively hampered the US invasion timeline, as it limited visibility, deadlined weapons systems, and grounded support aircraft.

The US soldiers and Marines pressed on through the storm, killing hundreds of Iraqi troops and capturing hundreds more on the Martianesque landscape.
