US Special Forces Obliterate Taliban Compound With C4

Footage out of the War in Afghanistan reportedly shows US Special Forces soldiers executing a controlled detonation to completely demolish a Taliban compound.

The qalat was likely unoccupied at the time of the blast as the troops would have already raided it, capturing or killing any insurgent resistance, and then rigged it with C4 explosive. "Terrain denial" was the probable reason for reducing it to rubble. The compound can no longer be used as an observation post or insurgent headquarters from which to stage attacks against coalition forces.

Once the detonator is pulled, a lightning quick zip of light can be seen, which is the detonation cord rapidly approaching the placed explosives, and the resulting blast is impressive enough to warrant a complimentary Borat impression from one of the soldiers.
