US Ship Fires 30 Shots At Iranian Attack Boats

The US Navy fired 30 warning shots at Iranian Islamic Republican Guard Corps fast-attack craft which were harassing US Navy and Coast Guard vessels in the northern Arabian Gulf on Apr. 26, 2021.

A short nighttime clip shows a tracer round being fired in the direction of one of the Iranian boats. According to a US 5th Fleet spokesperson, “The crew of Firebolt ... fired warning shots, and the IRGCN vessels moved away to a safe distance from the U.S. vessels.”

Reports indicate that fast-attack craft came to within 68 yards of both the coastal patrol boat Firebolt and the U.S. Coast Guard patrol boat Baranoff.

Additional dated footage shows a series of ever-increasing aggressive interactions between US vessels and the IIRGC navy.
