Taliban SVBIED in Pul-e-Khumri Hits Afghan National Army Base

Members of the Taliban sent out an SVBIED attack against an Afghan National Army base in Pul-e-Khumri, the provincial capital of Baghlan Province. Six ANA Soldiers were killed, with another ten wounded.


On June 10, 2021, members of the Taliban hit the provincial capital of Baghlan Province. Pul-e Khumri, the provincial capital, is currently in the sights of the Taliban who have been fighting inside of the province since early May to gain control of the territory. If lost, Baghlan would place another key province fully in control of the Taliban.


This footage shows an SVBIED attack against the Afghan National Army that took place just recently. In the attack, six Afghan National Army Soldiers were killed, and another ten were seriously wounded. This footage was released at the same time as a series of Airstrikes against the Taliban were also released in the Kunduz province of Afghanistan, showing that the Afghan National Army and Airforce may be overstretched.
