An incompetent group of Taliban fighters tries to initiate an ambush against an American convoy with an improvised explosive device. Things do not go according to plan.

When your only training as a fighter consists of hit and run ambushes against trained and professional soldiers, it's probably not uncommon for things to go wrong. In this video, which is a clip taken from a longer documentary film, a group of Taliban fighters tries to initiate an ambush with an IED. Unfortunately for the Taliban, the IED they were provided seems to be a little broken.

They try to detonate the IED several times as the convoy passes, but nothing happens. This turns the group of "hardened terrorists" into a bickering group of middle school girls as they argue over who's fault it is that the IED didn't detonate. After several minutes of arguing, the IED eventually detonates with absolutely nothing in the target area, causing the argument inside of the group to intensify.

Videos like this make me wonder just how common situations like this are for the Taliban.
