The commander of a Shia Militia T-72 turns out to be the luckiest man on Earth after he survives a direct hit from an RPG while he's sitting unprotected on the top of his tank's turret.

This video was recorded in the Palmyra region of Syria. It shows members of a Shia Militia group maneuvering armor around the battlefield. As several the troops are helping to reposition one piece of equipment, a T-72 can be seen in the background with the tank commander sitting on the top of the turret exposed. As the camera continues to roll, it captures the moment an RPG slams directly into the tank turret, probably peppering the exposed tank commander with shrapnel. Miraculously, he still survives.
