SWAT Sniper Headshots Suspect Who Was Shooting At Police Helicopter (NSFW)

An incident that occurred on February 8, 2015, shows the moments a SWAT sniper neutralized a suspect who was taking shots at a police helicopter as it circled the premises.

At 10:33 p.m., Austin police officers responded to the scene after a call came in reporting shots were being fired outside a neighboring home. Nearly twenty minutes later, Austin police helicopter Air 1 arrived on the scene to further evaluate the situation from an aerial perspective.

While circling the area, at 11:18 p.m., shots began ringing out again, except this time Air 1 was under fire. Seven minutes later, the Austin SWAT team arrived on the scene and began advancing on the suspect. With a clear visualization from Air 1, the suspect began lining up to take another shot. Before he could do so, the responding SWAT sniper took a single shot, which struck the suspect, fatally wounding him.

SWAT officer attempted to question the suspect after he was shot, however he had already succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, was later identified as Sawyer Flache. It is believed the incident occurred due to Flache going through a custody battle with his soon to be divorced wife.
