Suspect Fires Through Apartment Door At Responding Police Officers

NYPD SWAT units respond to a report of a distressed man with a gun in a Bronx apartment building. The officers stack near the suspect's door, taking cover behind the lead officer's ballistic shield.

Within seconds the suspect begins firing a gun at the officers through the door. He fires five shots, three of them impacting the shield. The officer with the shield warns his buddies not to expose themselves to the dangerous situation.

The cops then try talking the man into surrendering for over an hour with no luck. The suspect then starts his apartment on fire and tries escaping out the window, but the police were waiting for him and made the arrest.
