A team of special effects professionals and make-up artists work with a crew of actors and role-players to provide proper realistic rehearsals for trauma care under fire for the Canadian Armed Forces.

In my opinion, this is the second best kind of trauma care training that you can receive. Coming in directly behind it is simply training with the equipment on your buddies while they're not hurt at all. The reason this style of medical training is so effective is because it prepares the Soldiers mentally for what they may physically encounter when dealing with traumatic injuries caused in a combat situation.

The only training that surpasses this, and believe me it surpasses this by about a thousand miles, is live tissue training done on pigs. While that style of training is frowned upon by some groups of people, there simply is no better way to train a Soldier, Marine, or Corpsman on how to repair the human body outside of putting them directly into an Emergency Room's OR.
