Video reportedly shows Mexican cartel sicarios foolishly testing out the effectiveness of their ballistic body armor at close range with what appears to be a 9mm handgun.

Although legitimate ceramic plates should have no problem stopping a pistol round, the integrity of the plate rapidly diminishes with each bullet it absorbs, and the test rat's buddy gives him a double tap. Another thing to consider is that this is possibly a staged event using blanks. There doesn't appear to be holes or visible impact in the plate carrier itself and the test subject doesn't appear to react to the force of being shot at close range.
