Satellite imagery has revealed miles of defensive trench lines dug by Russian forces along the Crimean coastline.

Russia will do everything in its power to hold the annexed peninsula, and being prepared for anything will help with that. Yet, one has to imagine the escalation of hostilities and change in the region's battle lines for a Crimean liberation amphibious assault to take place.
