Russian Sappers Detonate Massive Cache Of UXO In Nagorno-Karabakh

Following the end of hostilities between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, Russia sent sappers to carry out demining operations to reduce the amount of unexploded ordnance left behind, as part of their peacekeeping mission. A Russian EOD officer was killed by a blast while conducting demining operations on Dec. 18, 2020.


The following video shows Russian sappers using explosives to neutralize a massive cache of leftover munitions and explosives. UXO left behind in wars poses serious risks to unsuspecting civilians for years and decades to come.
