Rocket Failure! Soldier With "Spaghetti Arms", Fires M141 BDM

Footage dating back as early as 2019, shows a dangerous, but yet comedic incident that occurred after a man lost control of his M141 BDM rocket launcher after firing it.

Now, I have shot a few shoulder fired rocket launchers in my time, and I know my fellow colleague Josh Brooks has as well (ask him about his experiences), but never have I seen an epic fail like this before. As stated in the title, "spaghetti arms"; that is in reference to the strength of the man behind the launcher. Maybe I make an ignorant judgement of this man, because quite frankly I knew nothing about the M141 BDM before googling to find what rocket launcher this was, but maybe it has more recoil than anticipated.

The M141 BDM, also known as the SMAW-D "Bunker Defeat System", entered U.S. service in 1999. Similar to the Mk. 153 SMAW and AT-4, it is a single use, disposable rocket launcher, that fires an 83 mm rocket. Going back to the video, I'm not sure if the man behind the weapon was just, unprepared? or what. Who knows, maybe it was all staged for comedic purposes, but never in my life did I think I would see something of this caliber.

Anyways, thanks for the laughs whoever you may be. On this flip side, this is why we have safety briefs.
