Members of 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment find themselves in an all out gunfight with the Taliban in the Panjwa'i District of Afghanistan.

I think anyone who has served in a combat arms capacity in Afghanistan has had a day just like this. One minute, you're chilling with some Afghan kids talking about absolutely nothing because neither you or the kids speak the same language, and the next, you're in an all out firefight with the Taliban. This was just the nature of Afghanistan from 2009 until around 2014.

In this video, which comes to us courtesy of the Department of Defense, members of the 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment find themselves in an all too familiar situation. This gunfight spans multiple different locations throughout Panjwa'i, ranging from rooftops, to random fields.
