Only Living Iraq MoH Recipient, David Bellavia, Selfless Sacrifice Speech

At the time of this posting, David Bellavia still stands as the only surviving United States military personnel to receive the Medal of Honor from the Iraq War. Although Bellavia bears that title, he humbles himself to those who fought along side him and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Nearly fifteen years later, Bellavia was awarded the Medal of Honor on June 25th, 2019, for his actions during the Second Battle of Fallujah in 2004. During his July 4th, 2019 speech, Bellavia continued to uphold his selflessness, as he discussed the heroic actions not only he himself took during his tour in Iraq, but all the heroism his fellow soldiers around him displayed.

If you want to know more about Staff Sergeant Bellavia's heroic actions that awarded him the Medal of Honor, I recommend checking out this video.
