Officers Pursue, Pit, And Detain Murder Suspects After High-Speed Chase

Dashcam footage provided by the Cobb County Police Department, shows the moments officers engaged in a dangerous high-speed chase with two murder suspects on-the-run from Tennessee.


On January 9th, 2022, Nashville Metro Police were seeking assistance in finding 20-year-old Jakira Coleman-Griffen and her male accomplice, Senquarius Williams, who shot and killed 60-year-old Gary McClain at the Savoy Motel on Dickerson Pike. At this time, the motive behind the shooting has not been identified.


On January 10th, 2022, Cobb County officers were notified on their license plate recognition system that McClain's car had been located within their area. Officers soon after located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, where Coleman-Griffen and Williams refused to stop. As shown in the dashcam footage, officers made two pit maneuver attempts on the vehicle, before they successfully disabled the vehicle.


Both occupants of the vehicle immediately surrendered to Cobb County police. They were further booked at the Cobb County jail and are awaiting a court appearance. During initial investigations, Coleman-Griffen admitted to homicide detectives that she shot McClain.
