Officer Nearly Killed by Out-of-Control Vehicle

Dashcam footage recorded by a Fairfax County Police Officer's patrol cruiser during a traffic stop captures the moment an out-of-control vehicle going at over 120 MPH nearly kills the officer.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in this event. The teenage driver of the BMW was going around 120 MPH when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to cross the median into the opposing lane where it impacted with a vehicle that was pulled over by the officer. The driver of the pulled over vehicle and the officer both suffered minor injuries, as well as the teenager and his two passengers.

The driver is being charged with reckless driving, and the video was released by the Fairfax County Police in an attempt to help curb reckless driving in that specific area.
