(NSFW) Ukraine’s “Company Group Team” Operating Near Belgorod

This footage shows Ukraine’s confusingly-named “Company Group Team” of operators fighting in the borderlands near Belgorod. They are shown, with their faces and identities obfuscated, in a variety of contexts including sniping and operating vehicle mounted weaponry. Due to graphic imagery of a medical/rescue nature, viewer discretion is advised.

As one might imagine, googling something as vague as the “Company Group Team” (hereafter, CGT) comes up with myriad results. However, one published article posits that the CGT was formed in 2018, but is another of several attempts to re-brand Azov-associated fighters. Azov, known as a Brigade, Battalion or Regiment depending on who or when one asks, has received negative press and public opinion for having neo-Nazi leanings. CGT is reportedly an effort to focus seasoned Azov fighters (and public opinion on them) on military efficacy rather than ideology, a strategy also employed by the Third Assault Brigade. This video footage definitely focuses more on the unit’s ability than the personal beliefs of its members, showing the CGT sniping, utilizing Humvees and rendering medical aid.
