(NSFW) Troops Trapped in a Vehicle Ambushed by Tehrik-i-Taliban

Footage released by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, better known as the TTP, shows an ambush performed against Pakistani troops. The exact location of this ambush is not known, but the ambush was swift, and the troops in the back of the vehicle had no ability to respond to the ambush as they were gunned down by members of the militant faction.

It appears as if the initial ambush killed a few of the troops outright, who then trapped their friends in the back of the open-top vehicle with their own dead bodies. The rest of the troops, trapped like fish in a barrel, get picked off by the Taliban fire coming from multiple angles around them before they even have the opportunity to respond to the attack.

This is a textbook ambush, and the perfect scenario for the guerilla fighters. First, the troops they're ambushing have almost no force protection. As a result, the initial volley of gunfire proves deadly. Second, the dead troops pin the other troops down so that they're unable to return fire.

You have two options in an ambush. You either immediately get off of the X and to a position of cover where you can assess the situation, or you return fire with overwhelming and superior firepower to regain the initiative. In this case, the Pakistani troops were able to do neither of these things as their own dead kept them trapped in place, which resulted in the entire group getting eliminated.
