(NSFW) Triple Homicide Suspect Blasted Away by IMPD Officer’s Shotgun

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has released security camera footage from an incident on September 1st, 2021, where two detectives shot and killed an armed homicide suspect inside an east side gas station.

James Williams, 33, was being tracked by IMPD Violent Crimes Unit investigators in and around an apartment complex near the gas station. Williams was wanted on a warrant and was a suspect in a double homicide that occurred on August 2, 2021. After spotting Williams entering the gas station, IMPD officers approached the surrounding areas. As Williams exited the gas station, officers observed a weapon in Williams waist band. IMPD officers began chasing Williams, who shortly after ran back into the gas station and drew his firearm.

Upon re-entering the store, officers are heard on the surveillance footage yelling at Williams to get down and telling other customers to leave the store. Williams then pulled out his weapon and pointed it towards officers, further causing an officer involved shooting. Williams was provided medical aid but was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

During a later investigation, through forensic analysis it was proven the hand gun retrieved from the officer involved shooting in September 1st was the same weapon involved in an August 2nd double homicide, a June 2020 homicide, and a non-fatal shooting; hit and run accident in June 2020.
