(NSFW) Townsfolk Kill 11 Cartel Sicarios In Mexico

Wild footage out of Mexico shows an incident in which fed-up civilians took justice into their own hands and killed at least 11 cartel members, including the local crime boss.

According to reports, the sicarios called on the residents of Texcapilla, Texcaltitlán to congregate at a local soccer field where they then demanded payment to the cartel several hundred dollars per acre of harvested crops.

This obviously didn't sit well with the hard-working farming community, and tensions ignited. Gunshots can be heard, although it's not clear who fired them. Seconds later the townsfolk swarm the criminal gang members and begin beating them with rocks and clubs and hacking them apart with machetes. Once the narcos were neutralized, the residents then dismembered and burned their bodies.

In addition to the 11 cartel members killed, three townspeople were killed and four were wounded. Two civilians remain missing.

Following the incident, the residents expressed anger that it took security forces over three hours to respond. Mexican officials said they will be sending a garrison of 100 national guard soldiers to defend against reprisal attacks, but said the residents will have to donate land to the government for barracks... essentially extorting the locals in much the same way as the cartel had tried.

The local governor requested weapons and body armor from the state, to which their request was denied as the state claimed they wanted to avoid the proliferation of self defense groups, because the government already exists to protect them.

The obvious lessons to take from this: Keep your guns. In fact; buy more, and stockpile ammo. Build strong communities by simply engaging with your neighbors and begin developing security and emergency contingencies.
