(NSFW) Russians Pick Wrong House In Vovchansk, Kharkiv

This footage, recorded by a Ukrainian observation drone, shows Russian infantry attempting to enter a house in Vovchansk during the Kharkiv offensive of 2024. They are ambushed by Ukrainian forces waiting inside. Several are wounded and killed, the viewing of which necessitates discretion.

The Russians appear to have attempted to enter the building without anything resembling a cohesive plan to prevent, or to react to, the very thing that’s about to happen. The 200 and 300 codes shown near the casualties refer to “killed” and “wounded”, respectively. Unfortunately, we aren’t shown the disposition of Ukrainian elements inside the building, but they manage to fend off the Russian team in about as much time as it takes to say “Broke into the wrong rec-room, didn’t ya?”

The combat experience of the Russian contingent in this incident appears to be scant, but they’re not likely to forget the lessons learned here anytime soon.
