Footage out of the Syria war follows rebel fighters attempting to recover a wounded buddy, when they become targets themselves.

The video shows two militants entering an area where they are obviously susceptible to enemy fire as evidenced by their wounded comrade. However, they are cavalier in their actions as they just leisurely mill about in the kill zone. It's likely that they thought the plaster walls would stop rifle bullets, but they were wrong.

The repeatedly silhouette themselves in various openings, making their position visible to enemy riflemen. The shooters don't need to see them to know exactly where they are and instead fire at the walls they are hiding behind. At least one of the rounds finds its mark, and a would-be rescuer is now a casualty with what appears to be a life-ending injury.
