Graphic footage recorded in 2014 captures the moment a Russian Separatist militia fighters spends a nano-second too long trying to spot a sniper.

Footage recorded in the city of Luhansk, Ukraine, during the Summer of 2014 shows the moment a Russian Separatist gets shot in the forehead by a marksman who has the entire militia squad pinned down. Judging by the volume of fire that comes in with the single-well placed round that ended the man's life, there was probably more than one shooter to their direct front that was halting their movement.

What's important to know about this footage is that it was recorded during the siege of the Luhansk Border Base, which eventually saw Separatist fighters turning the Ukrainian military in the region into a retreat. Currently, the Luhansk region is recognized unofficially as the Luhansk People's Republic, and even though there has been at least one attempt by the Ukrainian military to retake the city, it is still firmly out of control of the Ukrainian government.
