A leaked video we ran a week ago is finally being acknowledged by the mainstream media as CNN covered the footage today with an article titled: "Taliban fighters execute 22 Afghan commandos as they try to surrender."

CNN did a full translation of the video which contains commands from the Taliban telling the Afghan Commandos to surrender. A civilian also cries out to the Taliban, asking why Pashtuns are killing Afghans. After they are executed, a Taliban ground commander tells his men to strip the slain soldiers of their gear.

The Daily Mail also covered the footage, claiming a high-ranking Afghan general's son was among those troops killed in the incident.

The footage is from the Jun. 16, 2021 battle in the town of Dawlat Abad in Faryab province, in which Afghan commandos ran out of ammo after a two-hour battle and received no reinforcements or close air support. It was initially reported that the Afghan troops died in battle and the Taliban claimed to hold several prisoners following the fight. However, it now appears that many of the troops were killed, unarmed after they were taken prisoner.

The incident is especially significant as the Taliban are trying to present themselves as a legitimate government entity, rather than a murderous terror mob. The Taliban are claiming the video is a hoax, designed to keep Afghan troops from surrendering. The Biden Administration is also doing everything it can to downplay the disastrous fallout of America's withdraw from 20-year war in Afghanistan.
