This agency-released bodycam footage depicts a suspect taunting a Lakeville, Mass. police officer before advancing on him with a weapon. The suspect is shot, but is expected to recover. However, viewer discretion remains advised.

The suspect, 42-year-old Timothy Hladik, approached the officer, who was posted on traffic control in his vehicle. Upon noticing that Hladik was armed, the officer began to exit his vehicle, which is both a smart decision, and where our footage begins. The officer leaves no room for uncertainty, demanding that Hladik drop the weapon. Hladik refuses, beginning to taunt the officer by repeating "It's kill or be killed!" at 0:15. The officer weaves back and forth to get an angle on his attacker, continually demanding that he drop the gun. He keeps his cruiser between himself and the attacker, who, interestingly, has yet to fire a shot. This will be relevant later.

At 0:39, Hladik is visible by the hood of the cruiser, and the officer continually creates space by circling around his cruiser and the suspect's vehicle. At 0:47, a State Trooper who responded to the call can be heard demanding that Hladik drop the gun. He fires a second later at 0:49. Hladik continues to press the officer, repeating "It's kill or be killed." The Trooper, out of frame, fires at 01:06 as the officer takes cover behind a tree. At 01:11, the Lakeville officer fires several times along with the trooper. Hladik reverses and takes cover behind his vehicle, where he collapses.

Although shot several times by both the Trooper and the officer, Hladik was treated at an area hospital and is expected to recover. He is charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of threatening to commit a crime. That said, upon investigation, his weapon was determined to be a replica.
