Footage recorded by a Mujahideen fighter in Afghanistan captures the moment they ambush a Russian armored personnel carrier with rocket propelled grenades.

What you're looking at is truly historic footage from the Afghan Mujahideen who fought the Russians back in the 1980's. The quality on the camera-work here is actually quite high when you take into consideration the time that this video was recorded. Some Muj fighter with a gigantic shoulder mounted camera recorded this footage on a VHS cassette tape while his friends were shooting up a lone Russian APC out in the middle of no where.

The original video goes on for another few minutes, but we made the decision to cut the last few minutes because it was just the aftermath footage of the assault. One Russian Soldier survived the attack and was taken as a prisoner of war. The rest of the Russian troops involved in this attack were all killed in the initial volley of RPGs and machine gun fire.

There are mixed reports on if the Russian Soldier ended up surviving, or if he was later executed off-camera. No one really knows the true answer, so we won't speculate on it either.
