A New Orleans Police Officer makes contact with a suspect outside the Superdome. The suspect advances on the officer with a knife and is shot.

NOPD officer makes contact with subject at 39 seconds and gives clear verbal warnings to put down the knife in his posession. At 46 seconds, the subject rises, transferring the knife to his right hand in an ice-pick style grip. He advances on the officer at 55 seconds, despite repeated warnings from the officer. The officer fires one round on the subject at 1:01, separates the subject from the knife at 1:04. At 1:14 the officer calls EMS to treat the gunshot wound to the subject's right arm.
